[Kazmo - Visionary [NG Cut]]

There's an element of truth, Mat.

The track is gold, dynamite, whatever you want to call it. Of course there's always the phrase that you can please some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time, and that applies here. But one thing you need to accept is that there is lots of things you could have done with a track, as every artist could have done.

I would've killed to have heard some proper long reverb melodic synths running in with the pads. It's a really lovely track, nicely mixed, interesting, best bass I've heard for a while.

I only really have one complaint as such, and that's that I want to hear of a melodic value to this track.

You should, however, be proud of this track, it's very much a visionary's method of showing off their ability it seems. :)

P.S.: Chorus instrument, replace it! It'd be a lot cooler if it was an octave lower, and less soft of an instrument. =D

I hear.. something

This got to me. It sounds like a deep professional trance song ready to escape. I've never heard anything similar to it on Newgrounds, but I think that it's going to come to you naturally. Experiment with more types of percussions, drums, and work on that bassline. Work also with powerful chords, and different types of automation. This piece is far from brilliant, but the instrumentation, the plucking synths work in a way that I only hear pro's able to do, please continue, you could be a great artist =)

Hmm.. nice.

It's pretty good, something on the piano which shows how you can bring out emotions in people through a structure of notes. It's quite a nice piece of music. In my opinion though, this shouldn't be a piece of music only for piano. Get yourself some string chords, maybe some light drumming and bring up some power, expose those emotions you're trying to bring out through your music.

I am in complete shock

This is by far the best song I've ever listened to on Newgrounds. It's far too good for an audio portal, you seriously need to think about getting this copyrighted and getting into a label. I can tell with this song that you really know what you're doing, and that this song just flows naturally.
As always there are things that can improve,
In my opinion the transitions aren't perfect as they should be, when you go from complete rave to silence in less than 20 seconds, it kills a vibe that gets going on the dance floor. You've gotta make sure that when you get things going from Loud to Silent to Loud again that it is all slowly progressing, this then builds up a greater effect. Maybe you should use some laser and FX.
Also the lead that kicks in around 2:00 could possibly have been a bit stabbier, and using an echo effect to perfect it.
I think that the bass after this point also wasn't fully utilized, I believe that it should be quieter, and clubbier, and the kickdrums are perfect until this point also.
Keep one thing in mind, and that is that trance is all about energy levels. Get yourself a theme, build it up, bring it down, build it up again, climax, bring it down, climax, and finish.

I give you this advice not because I'm a smartass, but because this is such an amazing song that it deserves to be played in clubs, utilizing it just makes it better :D
You have some amazing talent, please keep making music and bring back the early work of Ferry Corsten, Vincent de Moor and other gods of trance!

It suprises me..

It seriously suprises me, that there are hundreds of dedicated musicians on newgrounds, that work for hours on end, but get no recognition for their music. And then there are people who simply change instruments in a midi file, and are put in the top list?
Think of something more original, stop using other peoples work, and to newgrounds, stop voting such stupid files so highly.

It's quite a good song,
Don't let the score get you down, Newgrounds seems to have a problem with 0 voters that don't want to leave their name and a review, because they don't have the ***** to give you a reason other than it's not their type of music.
Trust me, for its genre, this is good.
Suggestions on improvement:
Get yourself some more VST plugins and a few sample packs. This song shows potential but you obviously don't have all the instruments you need. The part where the bass 'kicks' should be replaced with distorted kick drums. PM me for some good packs if you want, I don't think I'm allowed to post them here. :P

Nice song, very nice.

I'm gonna say, the melody was great, and everything fell together properly, but I'd like to supply some negative feedback so we could see some even more amazing stuff in the future from you. I didn't enjoy the kick drums and toms, and unfortunately, the kind of melodic writing you used would not have fit into trance, so you're fusing two dangerous parts of music there together. To achieve a better piece of music, either edit the kick drums and toms and the main instrument to a sine wave instrument instead of saw, and that'll be a genre change, or change the backing slightly, change the kick drums to be more trancy/punchy, and get 2 saws, silver and gold being used to create a more powerful trance sound, along with a slightly changed, more trancy melody. I take nothing away from you with this review, I just wish to add on. Thanks for the music, and keep up the effort!

One of the best songs on newgrounds

It's blatantly obvious that you're an up and coming trance artist. Give it a couple more years and I believe you'll be world standard, up with Armin van Buuren and hardstyle artist Scott Brown :P
